MagneKit

MagneKit is Magne’s modular consensus client framework built on CometBFT, allowing EVM-compatible consensus for mobile-native blockchains.

MHA Token

$MHA is the native and only token of the Magne network, used for:

  • Paying transaction gas fees
  • Staking to run validators
  • Governance and PoL reward participation
  • Higher MHA staked = higher chance to propose blocks

MagneSwap (In Planning)

Magne’s native decentralized exchange (DEX), supporting weighted, stable, and composable liquidity pools.

PoW (Proof-of-Work)

Magne’s consensus mechanism where validators (miners) secure the network by performing computational work. Block production rights are earned based on hash rate, while economic incentives such as Reward Vault rewards are handled separately through smart contracts at the protocol layer.

Block

A unit of data containing transactions added sequentially to the blockchain.

Block Time

The average time it takes to produce a block on Magne, currently ~2 seconds.

CometBFT

The consensus engine powering MagneKit, enabling high throughput and instant finality.

Consensus Client

Software that handles block validation, ordering, and agreement across nodes, often paired with an execution client.

Consensus Mechanism

The protocol by which the Magne network agrees on state. Magne uses Proof-of-Liquidity, based on stake and participation.

Delegation

The act of assigning your staking rights to a validator for rewards or governance power.

DEX (Decentralized Exchange)

On-chain platforms that allow users to swap tokens without intermediaries.

Engine API

The communication interface between the consensus and execution layer, enabling client modularity.

Execution Client

Handles the actual execution of transactions and smart contracts. Magne supports Geth- and Reth-based forks with full Ethereum compatibility.

Finality

The assurance that a confirmed transaction cannot be reversed. Magne achieves single slot finality.

Governance

The process by which changes are proposed, voted on, and applied to the protocol. Governance is conducted using $MHA.

Liquidity

The amount of tokens available for trading. More liquidity enables faster, lower-slippage swaps.

Liquidity Pool

A smart contract holding two or more tokens that facilitates token swaps.

Liquidity Provider

A user who adds assets to a pool and earns a share of trading fees and/or PoL rewards.

Mainnet

The live network where real assets are transacted, as opposed to a testnet.

Single Slot Finality

A finality system in which transactions are finalized in the same block they’re proposed, ensuring irreversibility.

Staking

The act of locking tokens for securing the network or earning yield. Includes validator staking and PoL yield staking.

Swap

The process of trading one token for another on a DEX. Each swap incurs a fee.

Vault (Reward Vault)

Smart contracts where users stake LP or other receipt tokens to earn PoL-based $MHA rewards.
